About Yurt City II
In August 2007, Collaborative Yurt City project by Sheila Ross and Laura Ten Eyck was installed in a new and expanded form at Socrates Sculpture Park as part of FLOAT, a biennial event at Socrates Sculpture Park. This year an additional guest artist was invited. Participating artists are Fletch, Todd Knopke, Ted McGurn, and Derrick Wilson. In true nomadic fashion, Yurt City II roved and changed locations over the course of the exhibition. The tents and yurt structures were installed in slightly different positions and locations each week.
